We occasionally browse some of these galleries to get ideas when we want to make a new logo. On this page we are going to list some of our favorites. We consider the number of logos and the frequency of updates as well as the quality of the logo designs on display.
Without further delay, here are our top picks for logo design inspiration and typography inspiration galleries:
Although this gallery is not 100% dedicated to logos, I find it one of the best places for inspiration because a lot of the typography designs have not been used for logos before, so you can come up with something a bit more original. It also does have a lot of logo designs.
LogoPond is my favorite place to look at new Logo Designs and get inspiration. They have a lot of new designs almost every day, plus they have an active forum where you can talk to other logo designers, share work and stories, etc. What makes it different is the community around this site. The designs are mostly uploaded by users of the community and not by a site admin like almost all the other galleries.
Creattica has grown by leaps and bounds recently. This is another site that has a strong community, and content is contributed regularly by members. It is run by teh freelance and digital goods marketplace company Envato, and they try to help users who post work there get clients. In addition to displaying a portfolio of work, they also allow users who are looking to hire a logo designer to contact you if they like your work.
LogoFaves is a great place to see what is popular and trending in Logo Design. Vote up the designs you like, and browse what is popular and top-rated.
LogoFury is a logo design gallery site, with lots of nice designs to view.
Behance Network has an amazing talent pool, and in the Branding category you can browse logos and identity work from these awesome designers. If you sign up for an account you can follow the designers you fancy and get notified when they post any new work.
Not really a design gallery, this is a site where you can browse logos of real companies and find nearly all the “household brand name” logos available for download in vector format. This is great if you are designing some packaging and need an industry logo, or for making corporate looking mock ups, etc. Extremely useful for anyone in retail design.
Keep in mind that the designers who publish logos to most of these logo design inspiration galleries usually do not allow you to download and use the logos. They are there for your inspiration only. Some of them might have free download sections and that would be different, but unless otherwise specified these are “look but don’t touch”.
